Roots in Ruhuna
Our journey begins in the Ruhunu region of Southern Sri Lanka, where the family establishes private land for tea cultivation — estate growers supplying premium green leaf to the island's factories.
The family factory
A dedicated manufacturing facility is built. At its peak, it processes 20,000kg of fresh green leaf a day, drawn from over 2,000 tea estates and direct farmers, for export to the world.
Flood and resolve
Severe flooding destroys the factory and operations cease — but the land, the community and the cultivation endure. From the setback, a new vision takes shape: to carry our story directly to the world.
